b. 1992, WeiFang City

Can Sun has a Master's degree in Political Science from Shanghai, China, and a Master's degree in photography from the RCA, UK. In the past two years, Can has participated in several exhibitions in China, including the Chinese Young Artists Biennale and the Nanjing International Art Fair. In January 2023, he participated in the New Year's Exhibition at Christie's UK. His works are included in the collections of the Turkish Odunpazarı Modern Museum (OMM) and the former Chairman of Barclays Bank, and many other works are collected by other collectors from the UK, Europe, Korea, China and Taiwan. At the same time, Can has also been reported by more than 10 print media in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Spain, China, Japan, Mexico, Thailand and other countries.

Can Sun's works mainly focus on the absurdity of the world and the relationship between people. He works with daily objects that people tend to ignore as the subject of creation. Through a process of recontextualisation, Can Sun transforms daily objects into playful and self-mocking sculptures. This kind of humour is not only an acknowledgement of the absurdity of the world but also a revolt against it.
