Shijia Song

b. 1996, Beijing

Shijia Song is a Chinese visual artist whose photography explores the tension between memory, identity, and urban life. His work captures overlooked moments and spaces, revealing emotional and political undercurrents through a quiet, observational lens. Treating photography as both expression and activism, he uses the medium to engage with social issues and amplify unseen narratives.

Song’s work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Saatchi Gallery, Litehouse Gallery (Photo London), and The Glasgow Gallery of Photography. His images have appeared in Collect Art, Artdoc Photography Magazine, and The Edge of Humanity Magazine. He was awarded the Gold Award at the AME Keep Rolling Film Festival and has received multiple honours since 2017.
