Tong Wu, originally from Yueyang, creates vividly colorful and dramatic figurative paintings that explore cultural, sociopolitical, and social media issues in modern society. Drawing on a range of influences from ancient Greek mythology to post-modernism, Tong’s works engage deeply with the complexities of identity for individuals from collectivist cultures navigating Western society.
